Easter Seals Drop Zone 2009!

8th Street Books & Comics is a proud sponsor of the Easter Seals Drop Zone. The Saskatchewan Disabilities Council has a camp at Last Mountain Lake where children with disabilities can participate in activities that would otherwise be unavailable to them--from horseback riding to canoing, Camp Easter Seals is a very deserving cause which positively influences the lives of young Saskatchewan citizens.  

The Drop Zone is happening on Thursday, September 2nd, 2010. That is this week! The staff at 8th Street Books is dressing up as Green Lantern characters to rappel for Easter Seals. There is still time to donate (in store or online)--to donate online go to www.thedropzone.ca ; look to SPONSOR in SASKATOON; and SUPPORT us by typing in PAT THOMPSON for participant, or 8th STREET for team. You'll get a tax receipt. Also, by coming in store and donating, you have a chance to win any number of prizes in our dollar raffle (an entry per dollar donation). Some prizes include an electric guitar, a signed lithograph from My Chemical Romance's Gerard Way, and special edition comic books! Enter before September 1st.

Held annually at the Carlton Towers in downtown Saskatoon (24th Street and 5th Avenue), there are 22-stories for our adventurers to tackle. You can check out our team in action this Thursday. Our first drop is happening at 8:40 am.
