Thank you all for making 2009 the biggest Free Comic Book Day this store has yet seen!!!

8th Street Books and Comics would like to thank everyone who participated in the 8th annual FCBD, including comic artist Tom Grummett. In the end, $1820.00 was raised for Saskatoon's Friendship Inn, breaking the record from last year.

Another record that 2009's FCBD broke was the number of people attending. Over eight hundred came to participate and before the store had even opened the line-up stretched around the block! For those who came out, you are simply unbelievable!!

Unfortunately, we were too busy to take pictures. The event shall live on in our memories, though, and may you enjoy those happy thoughts until next year's event. Free Comic Book Day 2010 will be Saturday, May 1st.
